With the nightmare of COVID-19, the Canucks are headed to San Jose

British Columbia,vancouver coastal health,

Vancouver - The Vancouver players lived through the COVID nightmare this past April, the Vancouver Canucks are trying everything they can to hear from their most important staff at the moment. Unfortunately, just staying home wasn't a viable option on Wednesday night.

With four players already subject to NHL COVID-19 protocols, but no new positive tests among players on Wednesday, the Canucks took an evening charter to San Jose to play Thursday's game against the Sharks.

After the number of infected players in protocol doubled on Tuesday, Canucks assistant coach Jason King was the only member of the organization to go into self-isolation on Wednesday.

The Canucks rebounded under new coach Bruce Boudreaux, won five straight games, and miraculously locked inside the steamy tracks of the Western Annex race.

But rather than excitement, the Canucks players may have felt something like fear as they crossed the border. If the team's small series of positive COVID tests resume, players may spend the Christmas period in quarantine in their hotel rooms in California.

At least their partners and families will be in Vancouver safely.
