The player who purchased the ticket from Mansfield Walmart chose to remain anonymous.
Lottery winners have the option of receiving their winnings through a one-time lump sum payment, also known as cash value, or an annuity. Those who choose an annuity receive one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5% each year.
Mega Millions can be played in 45 states as well as the US Virgin Islands and the District of Columbia.
