A Sydney, Australia fan event celebrating Taylor Swift's latest release of Red (Taylor's version) has turned into a Covid-19 superspreader after nearly 100 attendees tested positive.
According to Fox News, fans gathered at the Sydney event on December 10 - on repeat: Taylor Swift's red party in celebration of the singer's red band (Taylor's version) is said to be told to "take an audition immediately" and isolate for seven days afterwards "what not Less than 97 positive cases.
According to reports, the pop star was not present at the event. The NSW Health Department also marked Sydney's Metro Theater as a "new venue of concern" after celebrating Taylor's re-release of the album.
Fox News quoted the NSW report issued in a public health alert: "The NSW Health Department is asking all household contacts of close people to test and self-isolate until a negative result is received by everyone in the home."
The statement notes that "NSW Health is urgently contacting the 600 people who attended the Metro Theater at this time and registered access via a QR code and directed them and their family members to get tested immediately and follow public health advice."
The alert adds: "NSW Health is appealing to anyone who has attended but not checked in with a QR code to urgently conduct testing and isolation and to ensure that other potential attendees are aware of this advice."
