Spider-Man: No Way Home - Official Trailer
The only question on people's lips before the Hawkeye finale was whether or not Spider-Man would appear.
Looking back on the release of the penultimate episode of Disney Plus TV on the same day as the new Spider-Man: No Way Home movie, many Marvel fans wondered if the timing and an appearance of web-thrower Tom Holland had been planned.
The main reason fans feel this could happen is because both Hawkeye and Spider-Man: No Way Home are located in New York City. Last week's episode, courtesy of Yelena (Florence Beau), also subtly revealed that the series was set after the events of No Way Home.
On Monday (December 20), Hailee Steinfeld, who plays Kate Bishop in Hawkeye, was asked live if Spider-Man will make an appearance in the final during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Steinfeld's hesitant reaction inadvertently led her to believe she was keeping the cameos secret - although Wanda Vision viewers, who had anticipated Doctor Strange's appearance in the show's finale, cautioned fans not to get too excited.
